WTN: Peninsula Ridge Viognier 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Thu Nov 05, 2009 10:48 am

Niagara Peninsula
Peninsula Ridge Estates Winery

Bright yellow in the glass.

Marmalde on the nose.

Rather marmalade-like (orange, lemon, lime, apricot), quite peppery, very tangy, floral, crisp, quite rich and intense.

Peppery, with some light citrus rind bitterness on the finish.

A somewhat impressive wine, but quite un-Viognier like.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).
