2008 Kurt Darting Durkheimer Nonnengarten Riesling Kabinett is freaking amazing QPR at about $13 for a 1L bottle, under screwcap and really tasty with bright green fruited flavours (lime, guava, pear and grapefruit), softer mineral and herbal elements. Finishes with very little sweetness (slightly drier in style, tastes like a halbtrocken, about 10% alcohol) although a little light on the back end.

2008 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst Riesling Kabinett was fantastic (as Schaefer usually is). This was from half bottle - a concept I love, except that after a couple of sips I immediately wished I had a full 750 (or even a mag :)) in front of me. Incredibly light, refreshing and precise, very floral with classic red and green apple flavours, minerals and faintly herbal notes emerging with air, really good acidity and length.
