WTN: Roulot bourgogne

Betsy had a long day, came home to find I'd made halibut (with lemon butter, wrapped in chard, baked in parchment- Karen's recipe from this forum's Kitchen- very tasty and easy), orzo, green beans, and salad. I'd also opened the 2007 Guy Roulot Bourgogne Blanc. Good acids, medium bodied, ripe yellow fruits, just a hint of nuts. Good length and a mineral edge , food friendly, good stuff. B++

The Roulot used to be one of my "go to" Bourgognes, but then there seemed to be a couple years where QPR wasn't so great. But I quite enjoyed this, I think it was on sale for about $27 (plus a bit more off because I used a coupon), fine value at that price.

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C mediocre. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
