WTN: 2007 Konzelmann Pinot Blanc (VQA Niagara Peninsula)

Just under $11 at the LCBO, general list. 12.5% alc./vol. Pressed-particle natural-cork closure.

Crystal-clear pale straw with a greenish glint; a bit of effervescence along the glass. Electrified Granny Smith apples atop sliced honeydew; quite subtle in overall intensity however. Nearly dry, with bright, crisp acidity and very good texture; just a tiny bit of r.s. on the mid-palate, and rounding out the finish. Crisp and cleansing with good persistence and power; some alcoholic heat. Very good quality for the price.

It went well with a hearty dinner of stewed ribs, cabbage and garlic mashed potatoes.

Thanks for the note Paul B. PB is not on my "buy list" right now but will look out for this. Might be OK with some Asian food?
