I initially thought I would not care for this, as it showed a good bit of creamy oak that overshadowed the fruit. About 20 minutes of air really changed that, with the fruit coming to the front & the acidity picking up. About 30 minutes into drinking this I found it very well balanced, richly fruited and also refreshing, with the oak just adding boackground spice. The blend (75% semillon, 20% sauvignon gris & 5% muscadelle) worked well for me, as I found nothing at all grassy or herbal about this wine. I liked it so much that it was the first White Bordeaux I ever purchased.
