I love Auxerrois with some age on it and so was interested in this wine picked up at Village Corners before MoCool. The wine in question was a 2001 Martin Schaetzel Ammerschwihr Eleve en barrique. Full of spicey pear and prickley acidity (almost spritzy feeling) with medium straw color, the wine was very nice for $12, consumed with Jamacian Jerk chicken, fried cabbage and garlic bread. If I could get up to Ann Arbor soon I'd pick up all they had!!
Abv was %13.

That's an unusual wine. Thanks for reporting on it.
