WTN: Sibling Rivalry Red 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Sun Jun 21, 2009 3:47 pm

Henry of Pelham Winery
Niagara Peninsula

A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Medium-dark cherry red in the glass.

Smoky, lightly sulphury, charred and a little sharp on the nose.

Medium weight, quite toasty and charred, cherry, raspberry, smoky, drying, high acidity.

A mouthwatering, drying finish.

An okay wine, but I found the high acidity and the heavy charring to become a little annoying with time.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $13.95 (Canadian).
