SFChron: Indigenous Varieties

Nicely done, if a bit shallow, article in the SFChron by JancisRobinson on the revival of indigenous varieties in traditional winemaking region. Hmmmm...I wonder if Jancis displays the same fervor for Concord and Isabella in the USofA??? Probably not.

For me the most interesting part of the article is I'm preparing a successor to my 1986 book, "Vines, Grapes & Wines,"

I'm not sure I agree the Barbera, Nebbiolo and Tempranillo are particularly alternative or speciality...

It was nice to see some good press for Victor de La Serna who is one of the more memorable people I met through Robin's board approx 10 years ago. Had a couple of offlines in SF that Victor attended. Oh! how time flys!
