From Jacques and Francois Lurton. The label states Vin De Pays D'Oc, but information on the back label states that the grapes come from a "very old" vineyard in the region of Carcassonne.
Very dark purple in the glass.
Smoky, earthy, black cherry fruit on the nose.
Juicy and fleshy black cherry-berry fruit, good zippy acidity, smoky, rich, some barnyard notes and just a hint of garrigues. Very tasty, almost gulpable.
Finishes with clean, tangy acidity.
Screwcap closure.
Good value at $13.95 Canadian.
