This wine has a nice ruby red color. The nose gives off aromas of fresh cherry, barnyard funk, some meatiness and a hint of vanilla. It has a simple but is fun nose to sniff. The tastes match those of the nose with a nice tannic touch and enough acidity to give this wine great body. Just a tiny bit of oak comes out on the mid palate. This is a fun, simple and well balanced wine that I really enjoyed with some CAB patties filled with feta cheese in a red wine reduction sauce with sauteed portabella mushrooms and vegetables.
