- 2001 Perrin & Fils Côtes du Rhône Villages Rasteau L'Andeol - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages Rasteau (7/11/2006)
Deep brick in color, with a lovely nose of faint barnyard, garrigue, earth, cherries and plums. A smooth, medium-full bodied palate full of earthy cherries, more garrigue, lavender, and a slight meaty note from the syrah in the blend. I'm a sucker for a nice rhone wine, and this bottle seemed to be perfectly ready now. Great QPR, and of course now I wish I would have bought several more. (A-)
