Bianca di Custoza DOC
2005
I Molina
(blend of
Gargenega
Trebb Toscara
Tocai Fruila
Cortesa)

local wine of Custoza 10 k south of Lake Garda
Golden yellow clean dry, full bodied white wine revealling almond depth under citussy lemon grapefruit flavours

No wood; fermented and aged in steel tank 2 months and aged 2 months in bottle. The DOC allows up to 7 varieties in blend, of which 4 are mandatory
€3.50 at winery

There is also a Bianca di Custoza Passito DOC. This sweet dessert wine is made from dried grapes, either left on vine or picked and dried on bamboo shelves.

I found the Passito from I Molino not overly sweet with firm acids making it a good match for desserts. €10 for 50cl bottle at winery.
