1999 4th & 5th Growths

I've got quite a few of these, but they do not seem to be improving with time. Parker dubs most of the plateaus lasting until early teens. Any opinions? I'm drinking a du Tertre at the moment which I wish was more interesting. It almost feels like the tannins are overtaking the fruit.

I can't see the tannins overtaking the fruit unless the wines is still shut down. 1999 was a pretty soft vintage.

Of course du Tertre was not so strong until the new millennium.

You are right. They didn't. I was just too impatient. After an hour and one half it opened beautifully. Sorry. False alarm.
