- 2002 Georges Robin Sancerre Château de Maimbray - France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Sancerre (6/26/2006)
My first taste of this producer---maybe it's the vintage but there is both excellent ripeness and bracing acidity. Flavor profile is citrus, mainly grapefruit, and minerality. Nice match for spaghetti in white clam sauce. Bought for $12, I think retail about $22, which makes it good QP{R for a Chatterdon selection.
