WTN: Terrabianca Campaccio 2000

70% sangiovese, 30% cabernet sauvignon, IGT from Radda in Chianti, Tuscany. Bright ruby red. Aroma of crushed cherry and caramel. Medium body, with cherries, pepper and vanilla. 13% abv. Somewhat weak in the mid palate. Differently from older Campaccios, in which the cab appeared to be more prominent and the wines were fuller, this one leans more towards the Chianti style. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months, the wood is still not fully integrated. Medium finish. Good, not great. I like the 97, 99 and 01 better.

Thanks for that note. I have a bottle of it laying down and was beginning to wonder if I should drink it now. Thanks for the tip. I will give it some more time.
