WTN: Juniper Crossing Cabernet-Merlot 2003

Margaret River. An 80-20 blend.

Deep purple in color.

Chocolate, spicy and plummy on the nose.

Juicy, blueberry and black cherry fruit, slightly creamy, peppery, chocolate, black olives, moderate acidity. A very long, fruity finish.

I usually don't care for Cabernet wines - too hard and drying for my taste - but this is a delicious wine.

Great QPR at $15.95 Canadian.

New one for me Bruce. I am a big Margaret River fan, especially Vasse Felix.

We made it to their winery earlier this year and I'll also put in a strong recommendation for their estate bottlings (funnily called Juniper Estate!). The Shiraz, Cabernet and Semillon all impressed. I'm glad we went there (on the back of some positive words on the net) as this years tatsings were significantly better than my first impressions 3-4 years ago.
