This is my first tasting note and I picked a pretty easy wine to cut my teeth on. This is a very approachable wine right now. It's the most approachable CdR I've ever had. It has a very strong (almond) nut extract characteristic to it and I think contributes to a big time creamy mouthfeel. The tannins are very silky too. I find I waffle between loving this wine for what it is and I'm grateful for how approachable it is today and wishing the wine has more structure and grip to it. I love that I can buy this wine off the shelf now and it drinks well today and I'm not tempted to pull wines out of my very young passive cellar.

Nice note. I've generally liked this wine, good value, though I haven't had the 2005 (liked '01 and '04, '03 not so much)
