I try to get a case of a different white for just quaffing every summer, and I usually try not to go over $25/bottle.
Three years ago it was the 2002 Bourgogne from Leflaive,
Two year ago it was the 2004 Javillier Cuvee des Forgets
Last year it was a combo of different Italian Tocai Friulanos eventually settling on Marco Felluga's 2005 Collio.
This year, it's the 2006 Touraine Clos de la Roche Blanche.
Fantastic wine, for between $11-$14 (I paid $14, but I'm a sucker). This is a Sauvignon Blanc that is very focused and packed with flavors. Honeysuckle, a little lemony, minerals. I love this, it is light and goes down easily but is vey enjoyable. This wine will go great with chicken or seafood.
Best Regards
Jacques
