A glass of Montes Cherub Rose' of Syrah from Chile at Luigi's Restaurant, Fayetteville, NC. Attractive rosy pink color (color of some rose petals I've seen) Watermelon/strawberry nose. Light-bodied dry wine. Peppery finish when held in the mouth, revealing some of the Syrah varietal elements. I could feel the pepper on the tongue. Okay pairing with Shrimp Santorini appetizer without the marinara sauce (grilled in olive oil, garlic, lemon and feta cheese.) Also okay with Chicken Scallopini with artichoke hearts, mushrooms and garlic-lemon sauce.
