WTN: Gunderloch Jean Baptiste Riesling Kabinett 2002

From the Rheinhessen. One of my "buy every vintage" wines.

Spicy, lime and grapefruit rind on the nose.

Lime, lemon drop candy, peppery, lightly tingly on the tongue, quite rich, rather sweet, with a little bit of acidity on the end.

A sweet finish of lemon drop candy.

Could benefit from a bit more acidity to counter the richness and sweetness.

I have posted notes somewhere on the `05 Jean Baptiste and have just cracked another bottle! Purchased at a bargain price of $15 Cdn
and one of the best whites I tasted last year. One bottle left, yum!!
This one is quite delicious, nice peach and apricot, so-so acidity but who cares. Wish there were more whites like this around up here in the outback!!!!
