WTN: Gilliard ‘Sion’ Dôle des Monts 2006

I wish so much that I could find more Swiss wine over here! This is a supple and spicy little Dôle. Cheerful strawberry and cherry fruit, flowery Gamay perfume, and smoky, toasty cardamom and caraway spice with fine tannins and acidity . I’ve tasted Robert Gailliards Dôle in past vintages, and this is one of their best. It is still elegant and delicate, but somehow fuller and more plush as well.
