A Cariagne-based wine from Corbieres.

A hint of funk/delicious stink on the nose and palate. Wonderful mega-rustic texture of "fuzzy tannins" which are nonetheless not obtrusive at all. Palate is black fruit, licorice, savory funk, and fine leather and tobacco. Good acidity-an overall well-balanced wine in a very nice place right now.

I guess I have a predliection for these rustic-style wines. I am sure it would not be considered a "fine" wine, bui boy it went well with grileld tri-tip. 92 points?
