This was a Christmas present. I know virtually nothing about it beyond what's in the post title and the fact that it came from Sicily.

The initial smell and flavour of the wine is pretty much obliterated by excess acid. It calmed down a bit once the palate had got used to it and with a bit of air getting to the wine but it was still too much of an edge all the way through the bottle. And this is a dreadful shame because the flavour here was really quite impressive - an initial mouthful of lemon and melon, then a big hit of apple from the Chardonnay going on to find some classic Vigonier apricot on the finish. There was also a persist and not unpleasant undertone of petrol.
On the whole an odd wine from an odd blend, but with a lot of promise.
