WTN: Chateau De La Gravelle Muscadet Sevre Et Maine 2006

Melon and rather peppery on the nose.

Peppery, lemon, apple, pear, a hint of grapefruit, good tangy acidity, very crisp and minerally, refreshing and delicious.

Peppery and tangy on the finish, with some grapefruit rind bitterness.

When I was started out on my wine journey, my wife and I drank quite a bit of Muscadet, and it has been a while since we have tried any. This example surprised me with its aggressive (but not unpleasant) edge and bite, as I seem to recall the others I drank in the past were much calmer and less racy wines.

Very nice.

Purchased at $12.95 (Canadian)
