WTN Two wines from Kinheim

by Michael A » Mon Apr 21, 2008 9:24 pm

On the deck, 84 degrees on a Saturday in April in Oregon. The wine was right...
1998 CH Berres Kinheimer Hubertsulay Kabinett. (opened first, just in case we needed a backup ...(last bottle)), Bright gold, clear, light spice in nose, lemon and orange fruit & rind, light clean finish. $16 USD
2006 Jacoby Mathias Kinheimer Rosenberg Kabinett. Light yellow straw, clear, light perfume, melons & green apple nice balance of fruit and acid, finishes clean and crisp. $16 USD
One thing that interested me about both of these wines was this very present "white spring flower" scent of both of the wines, very light but very noticeable.
Delightful light wines.

Flowers & light style - that says Kinheim to me.
