I haven’t had a domestic Chardonnay in years. But this one was recommended by a friend as a Burgundian style domestic chard, so what the heck, I’ll give it a try.
Nose is pear and citrus w/ a hint of stone. On the palate its medium-full bodied with pear, apple and citrusy notes. Just a touch of wood backed up with a very nice acidity. Nice finish. We served it with Lime/EVOO/cumin basted BBQ’d chicken (skin on) w/ fresh green beans & new potatoes. Wonderful match.
Very nice wine…about $28.00. I’ll buy this again.
