I can't believe this wine is so good.

We had it with some braised chicken and couscous with Moroccan spices (cinnamon, cumin, coriander, fennel). The wine was was gorgeous. Dark color, nose of cassis and earth, a solid core of fruit - like blackforest cake but with some acidity - , an excellent finish. Jill and I killed that bottle before we finished the chicken, it was that good.

Who says 1999 is a weak vintage? I think it's just fine for the Right Bank and the Graves.
Best Regards

Jacques
