Copy and paste doesn't seem to work.

Tim

2 ways. The best is, I think, to link to your picture using the [img] tag -- click on the Img link above. The photo's have to be online somewhere. So, if they are not already online, upload them to somewhere like http://www.photobucket.com

Here is one linked using the IMG tag

Image

Other way is to use the Upload attachment box below; this means uploading your pic to WLDG server, as below. The advantage is you don't have to store them elsewhere; there were issues with image size not showing too large pix.

Peter,

Thanks for that.

I have been trying the first route but picture size seems to be limited in the previews to such an extent that it hardly seems worthwhile posting my landscape shots from the Malbec trip. I recall having seen some better sized landscapes on this site in the past so I will try again tomorrow.

All the best,

Tim

I've just tried the upload attachment option to add photos to the recipe for nettle soup I just posted in the food section. It worked fine for the first two pictures, but then noting happens when I try to upload the third one. No error is given but the file just does not show in the list of attachments. Any ideas why? Is there an upper limit for the total size of the uploads, maybe? Apparently I can add it to this post.

There have been rumors of a limit of two (or three) photos per post. It doesn't seem to happen to everyone, but it does happen.

Well, it certainly seems to have happened to me...
This limitation just happened to make me think of the great travel reports that Thor used to write in the old forum. The great photos certainly added an extra value to his fine writing, but that would not quite have been the case had he been limited to only two photos per post. And that was in the old days, when memory was pretty scarce, which is not normally the case today...

No limitation if you use IMG to link to another place.

Oops, I mentioned this in another thread but failed to post it here: I have increased the limit from two to four photos per post. (As Peter also correctly notes, the limit applies only to images uploaded through the forum. There's no limit on photos hosted elsewhere and called into forum posts with the IMG tag.)

OK, since I now know about this limitation, I have to store the pictures elsewhere if I want to post more pictures. I guess I'll have a look at Flickr.
Cheers, Anders
PS. Don't forget to check my recipe for stinging nettle soup in the Forum Kitchen.

Did you see, though, that I expanded the limit from two to four? You have a little more flexibility now! :)

Yes, Robin, I did, thanks! And I have added the third picture to my post about nettle soup.
