Had to open 3 btls to find something I could drink:
1. EdmundsStJohn NapaVlly Zin Amaronese (15 1/2%) 1988: Brown/murky/oxidized and totally shot.
_______________
2. DavidCofarro PetiteSirah DryCreekVnyd (U/U; 13.8%; NeoCork) 2002: Dark color w/ slight browning; intense bretty/barnyardy/fecal/horsecollar some peppery/PS nose; soft slight peppery/blackberry/PS rather unclean/bretty/barnyardy flavor; med.long slight peppery/PS very bretty/barnyardy finish; slight amount of PS fruit lurking underneath but way to unclean/bretty to drink.
_______________
3. Garretson TheCraic Syrah CentralCoast (15.4%; 625 cs; SupremeCorq) 2002: Black color w/ little bricking; somewhat overripe/alcoholic/raisened/fumey strong blackberry/boysenberry/chocolaty/Syrah Oz-like bit toasty/oak nose; very soft/fat some tannic rather overripe/raisened/alcoholic/hot/fumey strong blackberry/boysenberry/Syrah quite chocolaty/licorice flavor; long fairly hot/alcoholic/fumey rich/overripe/blackberry/boysenberry/Syrah/chocolaty finish w/ some tannins; some interesting and plenty of fruit but a bit too alcoholic and over-the-top.
