Mid-Week Chat Tonight!

by Cynthia Wenslow » Wed Apr 09, 2008 10:59 am

How is your week going? Since I planted numerous things last weekend, of course we're now under a winter weather advisory in my area. (And I think I'll scream if one more person says to me, "But we need the moisture!" :( )

Hopefully the weather where you are is nicer!

But whatever is happening in your world, join us for the regular WLDG Mid-Week Chat and De-stressing Session! Fun and party hats for all!

Things gets started at 9:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, 8:30 p.m. Central, 7:30 p.m. Mountain, 6:30 p.m. Pacific, 0130 Thursday GMT, some horrible hour in the middle of the night in Europe, 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Tokyo, 11:30 p.m. Thursday in Sydney and environs, and 1:30 p.m. Thursday in New Zealand.

Right Click to Enter --> WLDG Chat Room

Pull up a chair and pour a glass of something good to toast our own Mr. 1000, who reached the Half Century mark today! :D

(And don't forget, you can always check the Chat Counter by clicking here.)

Dunno if I'll make it tonight, Cyn. Jean's getting back from 3 days in NOLA at ~10 pm, so my attentions will be elsewhere...

But much nicer for the Down Under chatters who usually have to get up super early to try to make it to the other one at 6 a.m..... on a Monday, no less!

Mark, I guess matrimonial bliss trumps chat. Just this once.

Awwwww. Poor love! Did you catch Julia's illness in chat last week?

Would you like some nice chicken soup with some screamingly hot chiles in it? That'll fix you right up!

Cyn, do you really put hot chiles in chicken soup? If so, do you use fresh peppers or dried. Actually a couple or 4 Big Jims in a pot of it. I could almost eat them as a pepper sandwich with a slice of red onion.:-)

I surely do, Bob. Depends on the other ingredients whether they are dried or fresh and what variety. Often I use chipotle as it cooks, and I love some chopped serranos as a garnish on top (I dice jalapenos for my wimpy friends ;)). I have a great recipe that uses the chipotle peppers in a sort of basic chicken soup, ladled over cubed cheddar or jack cheese as it's served. It rocks! (If I do say so myself! 8) )

I am also a huge fan of Smoked Red Savina sprinkled on the top of almost any soup. Today for lunch our chef made a carrot-tomato soup and the SRS was just the finishing touch it needed.

I love the Big Jims too. I have a couple growing in pots on my back porch already.

Is Gary B going to join us tonight? This is a plea! What about the lovely and talented Julia B?

I hope to be there, if a little late.
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?

Hit a nice stopping place in my work, so I'm putting the chairs down and turning the lights on early. Come on in! :D
