Do'Zenner, Terra delle Sirene Nero d'avola, 2005, Sicily, Italy. A natural Nero from the Southeast of Sicily, no artificial yeast or other enological admixtures, no filtration, no new oak. Very fresh intense nose of wet earth, black fruit, coffee, spices, charming acidity, more black fruit, cherry cedar and fennel. Very young and tannic, medium bodied, elegant fresh finish, medium length, would never guess it has 14% alc. Great stuff.
