$18.80 at Vintages; screwcap closure. 12% alc./vol. Youthful, crystal-clear pale brassy straw hue. Fantastic, minerally nose that's extremely taut and well composed. With swirling there's light citrus and a green-apple/herb underlay but the wine is also very reminiscent of Champagne, minus the effervescence. The tautness of the nose is just wonderful and hints at the fine structure. Excellent, grippy acidity and balance; also, more "dissolved minerals" on the mid-palate - fully balanced, grippy and pleasantly dry. The wine is well focused and yet there is much breadth there as well: I loved the concentration of favourable elements juxtaposed against the very agreeable 12% alcohol level (we had a Napa Sauvignon Blanc afterwards which, by contrast, tasted less substantive yet hotter).

Lovely GV; I will be buying more for sure.
