Mendoza.
Finca Flichman.
A 60-40 blend.
Very dark purple, almost black.
Very creamy, chocolatey nose, which disappeared totally after a few glasses.
Silky and soft in the mouth, creamy, raspberry, blueberry and cherry, chocolate, spicy, peppery, lots of obvious oak influence, quite tangy toward the end. With time the wine also developed a not totally unpleasant bitter streak and it also seemed to close down a bit and become a bit leaner than it had been at first.
Overall, an enjoyable wine.
Purchased at $15.95 (Canadian).
