2006 Cristom Pinot Noir Mt. Jefferson Cuvée - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (3/5/2008)
Tis the season to drink our new deliveries way too young. I had to try this. Such a great bargain for $25. This wine always has great aromatics. But you can't be afraid of stems as they are certainly showing right now. Lots of spice and fruit right now. Solid tannins. Through the mid palate it was a bit rich and slightly heavy. Not flabby but I would have liked the wine even more if that was a little leaner. I had this over 2 days and the mid palate did gain even more weight on the second night. Time may sort this out and if it does, my score will seem conservative. Wait at least 2 years. (90 pts.)

Cheers,

Jason
