2005 Seavey Vineyard Estate Chardonnay

by Peter M Czyryca » Mon Mar 10, 2008 5:56 pm

Great example of California Chardonnay done right.

I'm glad I scooped these up when I visited the winery last summer. It was delicious and refreshing on a 90 degree day, and for $30, I dont think there's anything to rival this in Napa.

Nice straw color with a bouquet that evokes seashells/ocean spray, pear and wet gravel/stones.

Medium bodied, this just coats your mouth in gorgeous oily, citrus peel - ending in a racy, lengthy combo of lemon, grapefruit and orange. Finish lasts forever. If you're a fan of Mount Eden's Estate Chard, give this a try, you won't be disappointed!
