100% Tempranillo; aged 24 months in French oak. Bottled in September, 2002.
13.5% alc./vol. Deep garnet hue with a scarlet-garnet tinge when viewed from the side of the glass toward the top. Big meaty/spicy nose with lots of quality wood and cherry fruit in the overlay; a moderate amount of legs. Supple on the entry with fine balance, strong fruit/oak cohesion and good balance all around. Drinking very nicely right now, with good structure and an appetizing, savoury character. Very fine with beef pot roast; would go very nicely with steak as well.
