DO Ribera del Duero, 12 Meses en Barrica
Bodega Emina

Doesn't indicate anywhere on the label but, based on the appellation, I am going to assume this is Tempranillo.

Decanted about 30-40 minutes before supper.

Dark purple in the glass.

Chocolate, floral and stinky leather on the nose.

Cherry and raspberry, very spicy, floral, chocolate, somewhat raisined, soft, good acidity, a not unplesant bitter streak. With time, it became a bit dryer and a bit tighter, but stil nice.

Drying on the finish.

A very classy wine.

Purchased on sale at $14.90 (Canadian).
