Mount Barker, Western Australia.
Plantagenet
Very dark red in the glass.
Raspberry on the nose, peppery, cinnamon, some heat.
Soft, thick, creamy, rich and intense cherry, raspberry and blueberries, quite hot and peppery, with some heat and roughness toward the end.
Hot on the finish.
A rather big and impressive wine, but the heat and shrillness really detracted. The wine weighs in at 14.5 per cent alcohol and doesnt carry it well IMHO.
Puirchased at $16.95 (Canadian).
Screwcap closure.
