At a dinner at Lil Louis Oyster Bar in Moncton:
Roederer L'Hermitage 2000 (Sparkling), California - tastes like Champagne! Very austere
Fevre Chablis Bougros GC, 2004 - nice, a bit rounder (lower acid) than I prefer, but really good, nice minerally notes
Beaucastel Blanc 2005 - rich, good aromatics, if there is oak, it is way in the back
Bouchard P&F Meursault Les Clous 2004 - 1/2 btl - really good, long finish, buttery and a touch nutty, I always like this wine
Jadot Corton Pougets 1999 - 1/2 btl - nice and stinky/earthy, but still has some nice cherry/cranberry fruit
Einaudi Barolo, Canubbi, 1999 - developing nicely, on sale right now here in NB, great with the food! lamb loin roasted rolled in mint leaf
Beaucastel Rouge 2004 - magnum, closed, way too early to drink
Food was excellent as well, one of our best restos down east
