WTN: 2005 Longview Vineyard Red Bucket

Nose of peppermint and red fruit (currant, cranberry) and the same in the mouth. Snappy acidity and a clean, refreshing finish. Not at all heavy and no heat despite the 15% abv.

The peppermint dissapates with time leaving a light, pleasant note of barnyard on a cool spring evening. While not complex, it is a pleasant drink, and if quite food-friendly. It seems more Pinot like than Cab. 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Shiraz. $20 at Cave Creek Wines.
