2002 Ramey Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard - USA, California, Napa Valley, Carneros (3/3/2008)
Quite delicious for a California Chardonnay  , with significantly better acid balance and minerality than I am used to. Pear and melon fruit dominate the flavors with again good supporting acids, a touch of wood and finishing minerality. Very nice.

2005 Trénel Fils Saint-Amour - France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Saint-Amour (3/3/2008)
Appealingly grapey, with some distinct floral notes. Direct, easy to drink and very food friendly.
