WTN: Don Pascul Reserve Viognier 2006

Establecimiento Juanico-Familia Deicas
Uruguay

My first wine from Uruguay.

Very bright yellow in the glass.

Not much of a nose at first, eventually revealing light peach and floral notes.

Rather fleshy peach, orange and tangy lemon, light bodied and delicate, floral, good acidic tang, spicy, slighty sweet.

A long tangy, lemony finish.

The wine showed very little with the first few glasses and I was quite disappointed. However, with time spent sitting on the table, the intensity of the fruit grew and this turned into quite a nice little wine.

Purchased at $9.95 (Canadian) and a good value
