WTN: Obsession Symphony 2006

by Bruce Hayes » Fri Feb 01, 2008 8:14 pm

Ironestone Vineyards.
California.

Zesty and intense on the nose, marmalade and perfumed.

Very intense in the mouth, moderately thick, with rich citrus fruit, orange, apricot, lime, a real marmalade mix, peppery, spicy, tangy acidity, slightly candied, with a bitter citrus bite toward the end.

A spicy, mouthwatering finish.

The wine (which we have enjoyed many times over the years) worked very well with a curry pork dish with apples and raisins.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).

Seems to be a big seller in these parts Bruce. Would be interesting market research to see who buys this wine in such quantities!
