decanting Opus One... how long?

by Douglas B » Thu Jan 31, 2008 8:47 am

How long should a 1996 bottle of Opus One breathe before serving? I've read so many conflicting suggestions that I'm confused...
Any suggestions? Thank you!

There is no 'right' answer to this sort of question, only generalizations.

Personally, I'd opt for a couple of hours and be prepared to set it aside if i thought it needed more time when I tasted it.
