...and I'm Hungry Like the Llama Pinot Noir from Loring Wine Company, Vintage 2005
Just a touch reductive (under screwcap), but it blows off quikly with air, and underneath are red and black fruits, moist earth, a dash of vanilla and just perhaps a touch of Elmer's Glue. There's a bit of tartness to the fruit on the palate which gives this a nice level of refreshment. Acid balance is nice, and there's plenty of fruit. Perhaps the finish isn't as long as it could be, but there's no trace of heat, and it invites the next sip. I'll give it an 88, and you can dance to it.
