Two years after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that states must not disparately treat wine shipment by in-state and out-of-state wineries, the battle continues, with the powerful and well-heeled wine distribution lobby doing all it can to hang on to its monopoly on consumer choice, working to block wine sales direct to consumers across state lines even at the cost of barring shipment by in-state producers. Every state is different, but the battle for consumer choice is far from won.
