WTN: Broquel Bonarda 2005

Mendoza.
Bodegas Trapiche.

Dark purple, bordering on black, in the glass.

A rich and complex nose: plummy, floral, sweet, earthy and tarry.

Quite round and polished, moderate weight, creamy, fleshy black cherry, raspberry and blueberry, tarry-black licorice, spicy, good acidity, slightly sweet, smoky.

A juicy-fruity finish.

A very impressive wine at a very impressive price. Purchased at $15.85 (Canadian).
