McLaren Vale.
A blend of Shiraz (60 per cent), Cabernet Sauvignon (30) and Grenache (10).

Very dark purple.

A warming, chocolate and berry nose.

Thick in the mouth, rich and intense, cherry and raspberry fruit, spicy, peppery, menthol, chocolate, a suggestion of greenness, and a nice acid edge to keep things moving along. Drying on the finish with some light berry fruit.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $16.95 (Canadian).
