Masi.
Veneto.

A blend of Corvina (80 per cent) and Rondinella.

Decanted approximately one hour before supper.

Very dark red color.

Nothing much going on on the nose.

Thick, dense and creamy, intense cherry, raspberry and strawberry fruit, chocolate, lightly floral, a little closed and hard still, particularly toward the end.

Hard and drying on the short finish.

After 90 minutes in the decanter, the wine began to open up quite nicely, although I think some sort-term aging would greatly benefit my other bottles.

Purchased at $24.95 (Canadian).
