  • 2006 Etchart Torrontés Privado - Argentina, Salta, Cafayate (1/10/2008)
    Pale yellow with a green overtone. Lovely fruity nose with lychee's and honeydew melon, with a background of melted butter and (my kids say) vanilla ice cream. The fruitiness carries over into the mouth with a a well defined acidity upon which some sweetness is hung. Medium length.
    Considering we paid only $ 13.50 for this wine, it is no wonder this is one of our 'house' wines. A great QPR! This went perfectly with chicken curry in a tomato based sauce (86 pts.)
